You will report to the Managing Director and interact with the Executive Leadership team, Growth Leads as well as internal and external agencies. You will recruit and develop international talent to work on some of the best brands in the Caribbean and Internationally, every day will be a learning day mixed with great results!  

Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment 

  • Develop, implement and monitor IPP’s recruitment strategy
  • Create and update job descriptions, job evaluation criteria and job postings   
  • Select advertising channels and advertise jobs on online channels and other media
  • Organize resume intake and evaluation  
  • Organize and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers
  • Assess applicants based on competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics)
  • Perform assessment of job candidates’ skills, e.g. behavioural interview, tests and case studies  
  • Recruit candidates within a preset time frame for continued business productivity and continuity
  • Recruit graduates that have the potential to grow into skilled workers
  • Process and onboard employees into IPP’s culture and support managers onboard employees into the business 
  • Network with industry professionals and employment agencies who have access to talent  
  • Create offer letters and participate in negotiation over salary and job duties
  • Report recruitment metrics to the Executive Leadership team 

Learning and Development 

  • Develop, implement and monitor IPP’s learning strategy,  development paths and career paths
  • Conduct learning analysis and identify employee learning/training and development needs
  • Produce learning plans and learning schedules 
  • Create and deliver a range of e-learning packages and facilitate learning programmes 
  • Conduct induction programme for new employees and graduates 
  • Manage the delivery of learning and development programmes; organize trainers, training locations and training set up 
  • Report learning metrics to the Executive Leadership team, e.g. attendance, learning comprehension and learning application 
  • Monitor and review the progress of learners through questionnaires, discussions with managers and project assessments
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programmes and trainers
  • Help managers and employees solve specific learning problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
  • Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present for adoption

To be successful in this role you’ll need

  • Strong team working and a collaborative approach to recruitment and learning both face-to-face and remotely
  • Excellent organization and planning skills 
  • The ability to multitask to effectively manage recruitment and learning schedules
  • High levels of accountability adaptability, resilience and curiosity to learn, grow and to consistently deliver results 
  • Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Management and/or Psychology
  • Minimum of 3-5 year’s experience in recruitment and learning 
  • Delivering onboarding and/or learning courses 

Working Hours and Location

  • Offices are based in Kingston, Jamaica 
  • Normal office hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday to Friday 
  • Flexible work arrangement available in most cases (must be agreed with the manager)
  • May be required to work outside of regular working hours as required by assignments
